Visualizing your logo

I have been working with a few different clients lately on logo design projects, and thought I would share some topics that have come up in the visionary process. If you are thinking of having a logo designed for you, or a re-design of your current logo, these suggestions could help you to be prepared to convey to your designer exactly what you are looking for with your new logo.
1. Know what you want (or at least have an idea):
Before you contact a designer, it helps to take some time to think about your business and how you want to represent it visually. What clientele are you hoping to appeal to, and what type of design will help you with that. Can you tie-in your logo with the services that you offer, or the name of your business? What type of image do you want to portray through your logo, and will that come across with the ideas that you have come up with? (more…)
